Lucia Perrotta was born in Rome where she lives and works.
Graduated in Sociology, she attended the school of photography Art and Crafts.
Her research focuses primarily on photographic projects exploring rituals in its popular, pagan,and religious
forms and socio-anthropological meanings.
In 2013 and 2014 she received an honorable mention at the Paris Prix de la Photographie and at the London
International Photography Awards.
In 2009 she was one of the founders of the WSP collective of photographers based in Rome and of the
cultural Association WSP Photography, of which she is the president and photography teacher. WSP
Photography is based in Rome in the district of San Paolo, and it is a place where people can meet and
conceive photography as a means of knowledge and integration.
